1550 N Lake Shore Drive is a 33-story brick high-rise completed in 1960. The UIC Library’s photograph archive places it at the northern end of the Gold Coast, where Lake Shore Drive meets Lincoln Park. Residences are lettered A through G, and listing descriptions cite views of Lake Michigan, Navy Pier and the city, including from southeast-facing residences.
In November 2023 the City issued a permit to replace the building’s shared and private rooftop decks, a project Chicago YIMBY reported at the time.
